Texoma Casino - 500 Nations

A kid who went to school in a town an hour away got C-19 and his parent worked at the casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma. How could you even back-track the sheer mass of transient people flowing through and outward into the globe? Is it safe to say Texoma itself is now a vector?

Next Far Cry Setting

I've thought about it a lot, often times Far Cry focuses on realistic events. Well there is one such group in my state that is constantly battling the US Government (at least in court). The Tribes of Oklahoma, which are technically sovereign nations with restrictions similar to a state.
Ever since the US govt. allowed them to have casinos they no longer depend on Federal Grants and run lavish casinos (even for Vegas standards). They even have tribal police and security along with a court system. Of course they have limited power and are trying to expand the jurisdiction of their Tribal Police.
The Tribes close to the Texas border are trying to expand into Texas with charter casinos and other economic interests but are being halted. Keep in mind every time the Tribes go to the Supreme Court to ask for more rights/privileges the Government can potentially remove them. It's a game of fire and ice with freedoms allotted to the tribes and it's been that way for a long time.
Along with that our current state government is in shambles as is. An awful governor no one likes and a huge disapproval rating on our current laws being enforced.
Well why would I bring them up? I'm not going to say what happens at the end of Far Cry 5, but it sets up an opportunity for the Tribes to unite and simply take the state back for themselves. In our state their is big political divide between the Conservatives and people who don't care and want more freedom. Both hate the government, and while they would not kill for politics, Oklahoma's National Guard will probably make enough mistakes to get the people to resent them enough, especially if another state sending in soldiers to "keep the peace".
Dallas will certainly have a lot of refugees fleeing and this will lead to another economic power, Texas (although weakened) being incapacitated to securing it's Northern border.
The Tribes can and will buy private security forces. Or recruit locals. I feel they would be a neutral faction and more stable, the other conservative and libertarian factions would have a lot of infighting between the local towns controlled by different factions. They would all be neutral towards the Tribes because of trading/common interests.
The other main faction would be the US government and the people who support them (a few extremists from the Left, for the most part Democrats aren't much different from Conservatives in Rural Oklahoma and love the tribes). Which will slowly work from from the southern part of the map, to across the red rivelake Texoma then to the casino. The Oklahoma National Guard will attack from the North but will be defended against, but cost the Tribes/Factions losing land in the South to the Texan National Guard.
The Location is also vital, one tribe has casinos close to the Texas border (hence why so many Texans cross the border to gamble). Their biggest casino is in Durant and it has some interesting features, like a massive lake on the border of Texas/Oklahoma. Along with some hilly terrain and a lot of hidden small towns/villages. Along with a lavish casino that is the main employer of nearby towns/cities.
The finale will probably be whatever side you helped by taking their towns (Libertarians or Conservatives) helping the Tribes + faction defend against a National Guard assaulting their casino. The Tribes and the faction you sided with are fatigued from infighting as they fight a much larger force.

I have to give a little shout out to Phoenix_Fox for turning me on to the idea of featuring this community! Keep the "nominations" coming via mod mail, we really do love talking to y'all!
The story below recounts the events resulting in an insurance claim being filed, lifestyle changes being made and my financial standing taking a beating.
Rileyxradio's Guide to Visiting Oklahoma, and Hating Every Second of It!
Now y'all need to know that I was born, rasied and would happily bleed for Texas and the only good thing in this world about Oklahoma is that it is close to Texas.
In my college years, only a few months ago, I made the painfully stupid decision to go visit Oklahoma in all it's gloryhole glory.
The city I lived in, north of dallas proper, was only a short jaunt away from the ever illustrious city of Durant, Oklahoma. Notable features to Durant: a casino, a lake and top rated Panda Express and a Walmart filled with people whose best option in life was to live in Oklahoma, sans the ones that were shipped there shamelessly by the government, but that's another can of corn beef hash.
I was invited up by a friend who had just recently had to me into Oklahoma, and wouldn't you know that she stopped talking to me after having lived there for a few months. I'm telling you, it's the water there.
The first stop her and I made happen to be for an al fresco lunch out on the beaches of Lake Texoma. The sun was high, the weather was hot and we found what we believe to be a perverts jack-off cave. It was filled with old and busted teddy bears, needles, trash condoms and broken plastics. It was creepy to say the least. 45 mins walking distance from the entrance of the beach front, we thought about who had been here and why.
It started raining around 3PM so we high-tail it back to my truck, only to find that I can't get my vehicle out of the beach area due to it's being impacted into the wet sand. So, after trying to dig myself out and give my tires some traction, I threw up my arms and came to terms with the fact that I had a stuck-truck on my hands, with no real form of help immediately available.
The young woman I was with said that her brother had a truck with a winch on it, and would be happy to help us, only, he still lived in Texas and was still at work so It would be a few hours before he could come pry us out of our debacle.
During out time waiting me and my lady-friend listen to music, talked about bullshit and jokingly offered each other sexual favors but abstained due to my lack of protection and poor ability to read non-verbal cues.
A few hours later, as per expected, we got out of the jank via the help of a high powered winch and a less than impressed brother. Whatever, haters gonna hate.
After all that, you'd think i'd just want to go home, but NO!. For some reason, the fates that be decided I needed to go to the casino. Maybe money, free drinks and the glazed over faces of slot players in their 50's chain-smoking their life away would make me feel better?
It didn't. I lost money. UGH. Well played house, well played.
It was getting late, and I needed to get home since I still had things like "responsibilities" and "obligations" to take care of. Pft. So we decided to make a quick stop at Walmart and then head home.
WORST. IDEA. EVER.
The first mistake I made was parking on the side of the building, secluded and dark, late at night, in a town I didn't know.
After dicking around in Walmart for a while, we leave the store and as I turn the corner to start walking towards my car, I notice something different about the seats of my car through the windows. They are moved forward.
I turn and ask my friend if she left the chairs in that position and she said no and it hits me.
POW!
My car had been broken into. Apparently, like a fool, I had left my car unlocked AND left my keys in the cab of the truck. Here is the inventory of what was taken from me, and each items approximate worth, as it appears on the official police report I flied with the Durant Police Deprartment:
1 - 80GB iPod Classic - $300
2 - Nikon D80 Body - $350
3 - 2 Camera Lenes - $600
4 - Nikon Mounted Flash Unit - $125
5 - Car Keys - ??
6 - Disc Golf Discs - $50
So let's take a moment and recap what has happened to me at this point, all during one day in Oklahoma.
  • Found a creepy pedo-den in the woods.
  • Got my car stuck in the wet send for a few hours
  • Missed out on hooking up with a girl
  • Lost money at the casino (should have seen that one coming)
  • Got over $1000 worth of stuff along with my keys stolen out of my car due to a terrible lapse in judgement.
I am now stranded in Oklahoma with a girl at Walmart, out $1000+ and its 10PM. I was furious. Enraged. Words don't describe. Then I start thinking clearly. What if the car jacker comes back to take my car? He has my keys, he just needs a few minutes to come back and take the car at his soonest fucking convenience. So I plan a series of tactical counter maneuvers:
1.) Remove Battery from truck.
2.) Remove misc fuses from under dash
3.) Buy and install a steering-wheel lock
At this point, the girl that I was with had gotten a ride home from her friend, I had called my parents and let them know what happened, filed a police report and talked with Walmart Security to make sure they knew what happened. All in all I had hung around Wally-World for a good 2 hours more than I expected making multiple trips inside since I had no where else to go.
Cars came and went, but I stayed, waiting for a friend to be able to come get me and take me back to blessed Texas.
As I exited the store again later, a few hours after the initial break in, I hear a car alarm going off near where I had been parked. Thinking this strange, I walked over to investigate the screaming black pickup that was parked only a few spaces down from mine. Since U had been there for so long, I had seen this car drive up and the man standing by the open door of the truck was not the 17-19 year old I saw exit the vehicle upon it's arrival to the warehouse store.
I accuse the man of breaking into these cars and ask him to come inside with me. He refuses. My adrenaline slowly subsided and I began to think about if this guy had a gun, or was on some kind of drug like PCP or who knows what, and I began to see the risk of my action, and quickly backed off. I asked him to show me his ID, I'll take down his information and licence plate number and we will call it square, he could leave. He willingly showed me his ID, which I would later find out was old and useless, and I will never forget his name, there in cold black oklahoma issued plastic:
ROBERT BLEDSOE.
Robert Bledsoe the fucking asshole from Durant Oklahoma, the ghetto ass, white trash piece of shit that stole my stuff that I never got back even after fucking meeting the guy. UGH that's my story. Thanks for listening.

[DIPLOMACY] Kunming to Austin

The Democratic Republic of Nanzhong and the Republic of Texoma have come together to realize their economic and diplomatic faculties in a symbiotic relationship. As such, besides the formal establishment of embassies in one another's capitals, the two states have agreed that Texoma will be able to establish mines for lead, gold, silver, and iron, as well as Texoma establishing a casino in Nanzhong. Among the interesting facets of this agreement was Texoma's insistence on paying almost twice the minimum wage to the miners, in other words, the average hourly wage of the miners working for Texoman companies is set at $1.00.
